11 Ways To Completely Redesign Your Item Upgrader

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type it can raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.

Each item comes with a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item is upgraded, its basic stats increase in value. This value is the sum of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive dependent on the upgrader and the type of upgrade you choose to make. This is due to the number of perks that must be changed in order to upgrade an item.

It can also be used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It is also used to limit the amount of PvP gear players can wear as PvP is restricted at a lower level. The average item level can be found on the character sheet.

When deciding to purchase or sell gear players can evaluate the level of an item. It's a useful gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it is able to deal. Comparing items in the inventory of a vendor can be done by using the item level.

The item level can be viewed by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the item's full description, including ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are a few theories about how the item level calculation is done. One theory suggests that the level of an item is calculated by an equation that determines the worth of an item's stats actually are. It takes into consideration that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in sockets increase the item's value. This can lead to an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzards actual level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor that can affect an item's ilvl as the size of the area the item is dropped into can change the value of its stats, such as by adding an amount to its haste or crit rating. This means that items that drop at higher levels will have higher ilvl than those from lower-level instances.

Item Stats

The item's stats can make or break an item for players. The game uses a variety of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to play with multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the best." The base stats of a weapon are enhanced by the weapon's stat mods, which are themselves boosted by the player's level.

Upgrades to an item may boost its stats. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item, for example, will only be upgraded once however, items that has rare tiers can be upgraded multiple times with higher costs.

Another method to alter the stats on an item is through affixes. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player and are available in all sizes and shapes. Affixes can do things like give the item additional damage, or give a specific capability to the item (such as reviving the dead or cutting down cooldowns) or make the item unique by putting an exclusive name to the item.

All affixes are currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade window, and pressing the green button. This process will cost the player a specific amount of gold and items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same way as other rerolling options.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which of the available stats to be kept on an item after it is upgraded. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However each item will include at least one stat within the same range, unless it's an item that is unique or an item that has a God Roll from a boss in a raid.

Another thing that could change is the option to upgrade equipment without having to roll the attachments, or pick which stats to enhance. As with base equipment, it will have to be done per item, and the item comparison interface will not show all possible stats at once.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the likelihood of finding items, the properties spawned on loot drops, and the intensity of the properties. However, it does not directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It provides players with an opportunity to get better gear earlier in the game. This is especially beneficial in the early game, because players tend to put weapon scaling and defenses above raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance that increases with each level and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

The shields, armor and weapons come with the default Luck value of 40. These items can then be enhanced by golden ingots, spined leather, or oak boards (depending on the item's material type) to grant an additional +40 Luck or to boost the Luck of an item up to 140.

Additionally, certain items, such as the Hollow weapon that is infused with hollow can be used to boost the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items are available from the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are some cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop them from losing an item if the upgrade fails.

When you upgrade an item, the rate of success is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. There are limits to how much the success rates can be improved and the probability of a failed upgrade cannot exceed 100%..

The luck of an item can affect the success of an upgrade.  item upgrades  has an average success rate of 25%, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5%.

The item upgrade overlays are rendered above the items in the inventory. This may obscure enchantment effects and other effects. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
